Question 2

How are listeners of Contemporary Christian Music represented? Please describe in terms of how people of different ethnicities, genders and ages are represented in my magazine, and whether or not this reinforces any stereotypes.

  1. I think that listeners of contemporary christain music are represented as laid back, chilled in your magazine . I think those that are from a white background who are female and are aged 16-19 are represented as creative and established but still a bit boring . I think this reinforces white stereotypes as a whole as they are sometimes deemed as creative but a bit isolated.

  2. I think that they are represented as calm and collective and quiet simple. In addition to this i think that you've represented younger people to seem more mature and seem fitted in with the older generation. i think that it conforms to the sterotype of christians as they would be seen as a naturists kind of thing but i think that its more for traditional white churches as such.

  3. Listens of CCM are represneted as being anyone from a church background, who is interested in a more lively form of worship. I would say that the emphasis seems to lean toward younger female churchgoers of varying ethnicities. This does goe against the stereotype of chuchgoers as older people.
