Page Numbers, Front Cover and Editor's Letter

Page Numbers

So today, I had a free lesson so I took the page numbers of all of my editorial content from my Flat Plan, so I know what page numbers to include on my contents page:

Cover story: page 34

Reviews: page 40

Regulars

News from the Ps23 Office: page 6

Psalm Reading (Psalm 63): page 8

Premier Radio column: page 10

Worship Leader Advice column: page 11

Interview with new artist (Soldiers of Christ): page 26

Features

Your Christmas Playlist: page 13

The Olympic Effect: page 28

Big Church Night In: page 31

Opinion piece, Hymns vs. CCM: page 36

Front Cover

I also redrafted my front cover. I changed the font size so that more fit on it, and took away the boxes behind the main coverline and its description. These boxes felt too big and impacted the front cover in a way that took away the aesthetics. However, with a smaller font, the colours were more visible over the background and these boxes were no longer needed. However, I kept them for the other coverlines and for the skylines. I also found room for the reviews splash, and included the barcode.

Editor's Letter

I have also written the editor's letter that will go on the contents page:

Hey!
Our November issue is jam-packed with stuff for folk fans to rock fans and everything in between. This magazine, of course, will always bring you the latest news with all things Contemporary Christian Music, and there is our reading from Psalms to shed some light on the origins of some of your favourite songs. In the run-up to Christmas, we give you the playlist perfect for the festive season, and as Big Church Night In draws ever nearer we give you the perfect guide to making the most of the festival.
Enjoy and God bless!
David Shepherd
