Photography and Flat Plan

Over the past few days I have taken a couple of photos for use in my contents page; one to complement the Psalm reading (regular) and one to complement the opinion piece (feature). However, these photos are not my best photography, and I am not sure whether I will use them or not. Moreover, I have made space on my contents page to have two photos for regulars and two photos for features, but I am not sure which regulars and which features I want to take photos for.

Therefore, I have made the following questionnaire about my house styles and asked people to fill it in. This questionnaire will also be useful for my audience feedback, as I have asked people from my church - who are more my target audience than those in my Media class - to fill it in, and will therefore get a more accurate set of audience feedback.

Also, I have begun work on a Flat Plan for my main task. This will help me when I make my contents page as it will enable me to work out what pages my editorial content will be on, and therefore help with the page numbers on my contents page.

The Christmas playlist article goes over so many pages as, to appeal to my target audience, each page should have less writing on it. Therefore, if the playlist has 50 songs in it, and there are five songs per page, the article should go over ten pages, which it does. The article also has a 'front cover', as an introduction to the article.

Also, I have put a double-page advert straight after the front cover. This is because the contents page goes over two pages, so needs to start on the right, but it would be unconventional for the contents page to be or start on the back of the front cover. Therefore, I have placed a double-page advert.

There is also an undecided advert which will be on the opposite page to the Christmas playlist 'front cover'. I want there to be an advert there, but have not decided what the advert will be for yet.
