Preliminary Task: Plan

Task 3 on our assignment briefs is the Preliminary Task - to create the front cover and contents page of a student magazine. The front cover will be created on Photoshop and the contents page on InDesign. This is my first plan for the features of my student magazine:

Cover

                     "Win free cinema tickets for a year courtesy of Orange Wednesdays"

There will be a date (October/November 2012) and it will be free.

Contents page

Types of editorials: Feature, regulars, interview, competition

Image: Second picture of cover star

Features: Cover story (photographic memory), stress-busters, writing tips

Regulars: Agony Aunt, student column, letters, news

Interview: Basketball champion

Competition: Cinema tickets

There will be a small logo next to the articles that have been mentioned on the front cover.
